On December 20, Guo Wenqing, General Manager and Deputy Secretary of Party Committee of the Group Corporation and Chairman of MCC, met with Wu Shenghua, Governor of Qiannan Bouyei and Miao Autonomous Prefecture, and his delegation. They made in-depth discussion on mineral resource development, phosphogypsum new materials, prefabricated buildings and other topics.
Guo Wenqing welcomed Mr. Wu and his delegation and introduced the development of China Minmetals and MCC as the Fortune 500 enterprise after their strategic restructuring. He stated that China Minmetals is now building up its pillar business system comprised of metal mining, metallurgical construction, trade and logistics, finance and real estate. In the metal mining field, China Minmetals possesses abundant mineral resources, including copper, nickel, lead, zinc and lithium, which are distributed in Hunan, Guizhou, Qinghai and other Chinese provinces as well as Australia, Papua New Guinea, Peru, Pakistan and overseas countries. In the metallurgical construction field, MCC is a pioneer and new force in China's steel industry and the national team of China's metallurgical construction, occupying 90% and 60% of national and global metallurgical construction market respectively. In the trade logistics field, China Minmetals has established trade points in over 60 countries and regions worldwide and large logistics industrial parks in Guangzhou, Wuxi, Lanzhou and other Chinese cities. In the finance and real estate field, China Minmetals holds full financial licenses with strong investment, financing and resource allocation capabilities. Minmetals Land Limited and MCC Real Estate Group are both among the 16 enterprises with real estate as their mainstay business identified by the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission.
"I hope that based on previous high-quality cooperation, the two sides can assemble professional talents to widen the cooperation range and deepen the cooperation on general airport construction, expressways, municipal infrastructure, shanty town renovation, phosphogypsum new materials, prefabricated buildings and other fields to achieve mutual benefit and common development," Guo Wenqing stressed.
Wu Shenghua expressed his gratitude for the warm reception and strong supports provided by Guo Wenqing, praised the achievements of China Minmetals after its restructuring, introduced Qiannan's basic situation and reviewed the beneficial cooperation with MCC. "Qiannan is abundant in phosphorite reserves with a well-developed traffic network and geographical advantages. The state government will promote the construction of China Minmetals' projects within the state, provide supporting services and build a workgroup for cooperating with China Minmetals on specific work to further widen the cooperation range and help with China Minmetals' business development," Wu Shenghua said.
Zhang Zhaoxiang, Deputy General Manager and Party Member of the Group, attended the meeting.
